This is a special neck plate that shifts the sound of the instrument itself.

The neck plate is one part of the interface of the "body to neck" connection in the instrument, and therefore plays an important role in transmitting the vibrations of the instrument. By changing the nature of this joint it is possible to shift the tone of the istrument. For example, if you are having problems such as: "there isn't enough sustain",  "the sound response is slow", "there isn't enough punch", "the sound isn't tight", or "there isn't enough definition." These issues are unlikely to be addressed by changing pickups or effects - but it may be a good time to look at changing your neck plate. 

Compared to a standard neck plate, the Tone Shift plate adds more harmonics to the sound, making the sound warmer, mellower, and adding richness. We offer two thicknesses: 2mm and 3mm. This plate will improve sustain while retaining the original tonal balance of the instrument. It will slightly suppress overtones, and increase the effect of the fundamental, giving a fast-responding clear sound. The low-end punch will also be improved.
