Hybrid Humbucker
This humbucker can both produce an outstanding humbucker sound, and a super realistic single-coil sound, all from the same pickup.
If you have the chance to try a guitar with our Hybrid Humbucker, please try the humbucker tap function, and you will experience this difference for yourself. In one setting you will hear the humbucking sound which retains definition even when driven hard. In the other, you will hear the edgy and thick unmistakeable sound of the single-coil.
When you look at this humbucker, at first glance it looks like an orthodox vintage design, but under the cover we have made many adjustments. For example, the slug pole pieces are made of alnico magnets, and the shape of that coil has been adjusted to match a standard single-coil. This produces a different tone than simply coil-splitting a typical humbucker.
From the outside, it may appear that this is as simple pickup, but we hope that when you try it, you will appreciate the countless hours of research and testing that have gone into its design.
